Charlotte Lucy Gainsburg,
known as Charlotte Gainsbourg, is a Franco-British actress and singer. Born July 21, 1971 in London, she is the daughter of singer Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. Since 1991, she has shared her life with the actor and director Yvan Attal. Together they have three children: Ben, Alice Jane and Joe. -
Placed in the spotlight by her mother, at the age of 13 she obtained her first role in the film Paroles et musique by Elie Chouraqui. The same year, she released her first album Charlotte for Ever, in which she sang a duet with her father. In the 90s, she participated in various musical projects such as Les Enfoirés and the soundtrack to Love.

In 2006, the publication of 5:55 gave new life to her career, and propelled her to the status of a recognized actress. Twice winner of a César, she won the Best Actress Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009 for her performance in Antichrist by Lars von Trier.
